Groundbreaking

Groundbreaking Day for the Hawley Diamond Club at the Rodeo Grounds. First project was checked off our list on Thursday when The Diamond Doctor came out and did updates to Field 1 - and it looks great! Thank you Hawley Community and Organizations for supporting these fields for decades!  We have more work to do and would love your support!

Update with City

The City has met with a few people that each represent the Rodeo Grounds, Baseball, Softball and School District. They have met twice and had a lot of good discussion. As there are no minutes posted at this point, but this is a brief summary of the last meeting and follow-up council and board meetings. We apologize if we have left anything out. So that Softball and Baseball can move forward with fundraising and field work, Superintendent Phil Jensen asked the City to extend the lease between the school and city for 20 years. Council-member Brad Eldred and Mayor Sean Mork agreed to bring that to forward to the City Council meeting on Monday, July 24, with the understanding that the school would eventually buy it from the city for $1 More work needs to be done on an agreement regarding maintenance, ownership, etc On Monday, the City Council approved both the improvement plans that baseball and softball have brought forward, as well as the 20-year lease agreement. Our Mission

The goal of the Hawley Diamond Club is to provide the facilities and resources to e ncourage development and good sportsmanship of all players through participation in a team environment.   Our primary focus is fields 1-4 at the Hawley Rodeo Grounds. We also are looking into getting existing restrooms back online for the Spring 2024 season.
